CHOCOLATE-MINT CHEESE BALL
1 package
(12-oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped
pecans
1 cup 1-inch
diameter pepermint candies (about 36)
8-oz package
cream cheese
In a blender or
food processor, finely grind all ingredients except cream cheese. Place about 1
1/2 cups mix into each of four separate resealable plastic bags.
To make one cheese ball: Stir 1 1/2 cups mix
into 8-oz package softened cream cheese. Shape into ball; wrap in plastic wrap
and refrigerate until firm. To serve, let stand at room temperature 20 to 30
minutes or until softened. Serve with chocolate wafers.
You may want to
give a friend a ready-to-eat cheese ball along with a package of cheese ball
mix and instructions for making another one later. Don't forget to include the
chocolate wafers.
