Broccoli-Nut-Salad (Marda's)
2 Tbsp white vinegar
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup mayonnaise
1 lb broccoli flowerets (6 cups)
8 oz bacon, crisp-cooked, drained and crumbled ( 1/2 cup)
1 cup broken toasted pecans or walnuts or 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2- 1 cup seedless raisins
1/3 cup chopped red onion
For dressing, in a small bowl gradually stir vinegar and sugar into the mayonnaise until blended.
In a large serving bowl combine broccoli, raisins and onion. Pour dressing over broccoli mixture and toss gently to mix. Chill overnight; just before serving add sunflower seeds and bacon.
